“Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
One of my greatest joys in life is to pull together a creative team and conceptualize fresh wedding inspiration. I love nature and I feel like when it’s a more natural wedding, the aesthetic flows much more freely and beautifully. When Montana photography duo, Jesse and Karen of Danford Photography approached me to style a shoot here in Arizona, I knew the quiet patience of nature needed to be conveyed. Megan and Zach our real engaged couple have are getting married this Fall, we are thrilled to be a part of their wedding day!

Jaymee and Ben’s beautiful pastel wedding inspiration was perfect for an Arizona spring day! Following their traditional church ceremony, they partied the night away at the beautiful Palm Lake Oasis. The day was perfectly coordinated by Shine Events and captured by the super talented Gretchen Wakeman.

“Come live in my heart, and pay no rent.”
Morning light and awakening to the day, to love’s possibilities was the inspiration for this shoot. Also, we had to shoot super early, at 6:00am to beat the Arizona heat. Boyce Thompson Arboretum provided lots of shade and gorgeous diffused light. Our sweet married models showed their palpable love for each other in this beautiful morning light. The styling was inspired by the beauty of the park and meant to blend and compliment with it.

“Dreams pass into the reality of action. From the actions stems the dream again; and this interdependence produces the highest form of living.”
– Anais Nin
When people have strong visions for something and then make it reality, it’s magic, it’s a dream. In prepping for this blog post I came to learn that Tlaquepaque in Sedona was created by a man’s vision to bring his love of Old Mexico to the bank of Oak Creek. The name Tlaquepaque derives from Nahuatl and means “place above clay land”. Which is also very appropriate for the red clay beauty that is Sedona. It was such an honor to be a part of Marissa and Chris’ dream wedding alongside the very talented Brushfire Photography that captured these gorgeous images for them. Enjoy!
